Beginning this August, eligible residents and small businesses in South Barrington will experience significantly lower electricity rates*. South Barrington residents are expected to save between 32%* and 51%* on the supply portion of their electricity bills. As an added bonus, South Barrington residents and small business customers will receive the benefits of the 100% Green Power Program.
On March 20, 2012, residents of South Barrington approved a referendum authorizing community leaders to buy electricity in bulk from a supplier other than ComEd. After an extensive bidding process, the Village of South Barrington selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), to provide electricity supply services to its residents and small businesses for the next two years.
